About the Wellness Profile:
1. What is the Wellness Profile?
It is a computer program designed to look at how a person feels and
determine from statistical studies what supplements may be of benefit to
the individual. How a person feels is often an indicator of something
that is not working at its best. This happens to everyone, but if it
something that is frequent or severe, it may be a good idea to figure
out what to do about it before it becomes a full blown disease or
something more serious.
People are often
asking, "What should I take for ...?" Whether you know the answer or
not, this program can help. If you don't know the answer, the program
provides an answer. If you know the answer, it lends credibility to what
you say.
The program is based on
statistical studies of how people feel and what they did to feel better.
Additionally, certain nutrients and/or herbs have been scientifically
show to enhance a person's health and are recommended by the medical
profession and government under certain situations. The program asks
questions of the client to determine if these situations apply.

2. How is it used?
The client completes a questionnaire and returns it to you.
The questionnaire can be emailed from the program to the client. It can
be printed and snail mailed to the client. Or it can be printed and
handed to them if they happen to be in your office. You type the data
from the questionnaire into the program and print the results. The easy
part is done. Now you have to take the data and work up a program for
them. This the computer doesn’t due because the computer doesn’t know
about the willingness of the client to take pills, the financial
condition of the client, nor the degree of desire of the client to
improve their health and make changes in their lifestyle. Contained
within the program are extensive instructions on how to work up a
program for the client. If all goes well, you have a customer for life
and maybe a business builder.

3. What is required of the
client?
All the client has to do is follow the directions on
completing the questionnaire and return it to you. There is no
requirement that they use any products or make any attempt to improve
their health. Hopefully they will though, or why would they do the
questionnaire in the first place.
Top of page
4. What is required of the person providing the Wellness Profile?
-
Find out
what the client wants. Do they want to improve their health or do they
just want to talk about it?
-
Take the
data from the questionnaire and input it into the program.
-
Work up a
supplement plan for the client.
-
Follow-up
with the client as you take them through the 4 Phases (Cleansing,
Foundation, Anti-Oxidants, Special Programs) of supplementation. Make
sure they are taking things correctly. Be concerned about their
problems and offer assistance and advice.
-
Follow-up, Follow-up, Follow-up.

5. What is the origin of
the program?
The material within the program is based on a book (Nutritional
Symptomatology) by Dr. Lee Coyne of
Canada.
The basic part of the program remains unchanged from his book. However,
alterations have been made as new product formulations have come about,
and there have been numerous additions to the program as new products
have become available.

Support.
Telephone and email support is free to those who purchased the Support Module for issues with the
Wellness Profile program. Please try
to find the solution in the Help files before calling or sending email.
This does not mean spend hours attempting to solve a problem, but it is
a request that you make at least one or two attempts to find the
solution in the Help Index or Help Contents.
For help with other
programs or with Windows the fee is:
$25 per 15 minutes,
billed in 15 minute increments. Once it is determined that the support falls into the fee
based category you will be asked to provide a credit card. If you want
to know what the total fee will be, be sure to ask at the end of the
call.
Examples of fee based support:
·
How to
copy and paste.
·
How to
send attachments.
·
How to
move, find, of rename files.
·
Etc.

9. About the creator of the
program.
My name is Lowell Dietz. My wife, Linda, and I are Key
Coordinators and have been in Shaklee for 34+ years. We are often
recognized for high PV (10,000+). We attribute our high PV in part to the
Wellness Profile program. But, of course, I would say that. I sell the
program.
I have no professional programming experience. The program
came about in 1993 because it took about 45-60 minutes to complete a
profile on a client when done by hand. I said to myself: This could be
accomplished a lot quicker by a computer. So, I bought a book on
computer programming, read it, and wrote a program for us to use.
That’s all I thought would become of it. However, it wasn’t long before
our business builders and a few friends saw it and wanted one. I was
giving them away. But like so many things in Shaklee; word gets
around. Soon total strangers were asking if they could have one. This
required that I learn to be a better programmer, since the initial
program was not of acceptable quality, nor did it conform to programming
conventions. I read more books. Then along came Windows95. I read
even more programming books. And so on. I’m still not a professional
programmer. The program still has flaws…but it works. At least it
works for most people. There are a few people who have had problems
that I haven’t been able to resolve. It is beyond my programming
capabilities to figure why the same program will work on one person’s
computer and not on another. Fortunately these cases are very
infrequent. Sometimes I have to tell people of alternate (and usually
less convenient) ways of doing things. If it won’t work at all, I offer
a money back guarantee. For that matter I offer a money back guarantee
for any reason if the program isn’t registered.

Why is...? or How do I...?
12. Q.
Why doesn't Calcium appear as a recommended supplement?
A. Apparently some people think calcium should appear as a
recommended supplement more than the researchers who developed the program.
Who's to say who is correct. Use your discretion. A score of 5 or greater in
Group 6 or a score of 7 or greater in Group 29 will trigger Calcium.

13. Q.
Why are there only 29 categories in the Summary, but there are many
more numbered paragraphs in the Analysis?
A. In the original studies that were done to develop this program the
results were divide into 29 categories of Vitamins, Minerals, or Body Organs.
Since then there have been no new Vitamins, Minerals, or Body Organs
discovered. However, there are a number of nutrients not classified as Vitamins
or Minerals (such as herbs or essential fatty acids, etc.) that have been shown
to be beneficial under certain circumstances. These don't fit into any of the
Summary Categories, but can still be of benefit to an individual.

14. Q.
Can I email the results to a client?
A.
Yes. This became possible with version 7.

15. Q. How do I automatically
attach my Registration Form or the Questionnaire when I send emails with AOL?
A. I don't believe this is an issue since the release of version 7. But just in case the old answer is still below..
In order for Wellness Profile to be able to automatically attach
files to an
AOL 7.0 or susequent email,
AOL email must
be configured as your default MAPI mail software. Follow the steps below to make
AOL your default MAPI email software.
- Sign on to
AOL
- Click on the "Keyword" or "AOL
Keyword" button
- A window will appear. Type in the word Preferences and click on
the Go button.
- You will see another window appear with a number of preferences
that you may set.
- Click on the word Associations to select
AOL as your
preferred application for web browsing, email, and newsgroups.
- Another window will appear asking you to confirm your selection.
Click on the OK button.
- Wellness Profile will now be able to automatically attach files to
your email messages.
You will need to restart your computer for these changes to take
effect.
AOL
version 4, 5, and 6 do not support this function. Therefore, Wellness Profile
can not automatically attach files to your emails. Instead, you may have
Wellness Profile prepare your files for emailing and manually attach them
yourself.

16. Q.
Can I put the program on multiple
computers?
A. There is no limit to the number of computers you can put the
program on. Install the program with your original CD or downloaded file.
See item 19 for information on copying your records from one computer to
another.
The only requirement is that the name of the individual owning the program must
not change.

17. Q.
How do I email an error log?
A. With the release of version 7 the program automatically askes if you want to send an error report.

19. Q. How do I bring the Company Info, Registration, and saved records over to a new computer?
A.
In
your
old
computer
there
is
file
titled
<WLP300.mdb>.
It
resides
in
the
same
folder
as
your
program
and
contains
all
you
old
records,
your
Company
Info,
and
your
Registration
Number.
Copy
the
file
from
you
old
computer,
and
transfer
it to
your
new
computer
into
the
same
folder
containing
your
program.
Replace
the
existing
file
with
the
same
name.
All the record you have saved and your Company Info are contained
in the file <WLP300.mdb>.
If you copy this file to the other computers, your Company Info and Registration
Number will remain the same. However, if you don't copy this file and
choose instead to type in new Company Info the Registration Number may not work.
The Registration Number is based on what is in the Company Info fields.
Therefore, even the slightest difference could invalidate your Registration
Number. This is not a problem. Just email another Registration Form
to get a new number.

Known issues with Windows Vista and/or Windows 7 and probably Windows 8.
1. Q. Wellness Profile has stopped working. Windows is searching for a solution.
A. I don't have a Windows Vista or Windows 7 or 8 computer so what I recall is written below. It may not be entirely accurate.
- Go to the actual program file that should be located in the Program Files folder and find the Wellness Profile 7.1.... folder.
- Within that folder should be the Wellness Profile.exe file.
- Right click on it, then click Properties.
- Click on the Compatibility tab.
- Check the box to run in XP mode.
That should do it. The program should then work.
If you have any problems, let me know.
