Enter a date in any valid format.
If the Date field is left blank, today's date will be entered in the format: 4 digit Year-2 digit Month-2 digit Day (See Date Format below.)

Rather than attempt to list all the numerous valid formats, below is a list of the known invalid formats.

Misspellings (Janury instead of January)

Improper abbreviations (De instead of Dec)

In a numeric format placing the day before the month (25/12/2010 instead of 12/25/2010)

However, 25 December 2010, 25 Dec 2010, or 25 Dec. 2010 is permitted.
Date Format: Why are dates automatically listed as year-month-day?

Example: April 15, 2011 would be automatically displayed as 2011-04-15

By using a numeric format with the longest time segment first and the shortest time segment last, a list of file names with a date (everything else being the same) would sort in date order.

Regardless of what valid format is used for a date, the computer can interpret it to create file names with the above format.

 Notes
The user can enter any desired text information in the Notes field with a limit of 32767 characters.
The Notes information does not appear in any report.
